I had a history teacher in high school who had a signature line that is engrained in my brain. I can still picture him standing in front of the class, with his finger pointed and his arm raised, bellowing “minority rules”. I thought he was crazy, but over the years, I have decided he was not. All it takes is one idiot to stir the pot. Case in point – did most of the world agree with Adolph Hitler? No, but he reigned with all of his craziness and influenced a select group to follow and the world lost innocent people savagely and horribly so this maniac could create a master race.

I saw something while watching all the devastation in Haiti that got me so excited that I felt the need to enlighten others with this information. The Red Cross has a Navy hospital ship, named Comfort and it made its way to Haiti this week to treat the survivors of the earthquake.

No Phone Zone

No Phone Zone

Last night while folding laundry, I put on an episode of Oprah from earlier in the week. The guests began sharing the dangers of talking and texting on the phone while driving which lead to the death of a loved one. The stories literally froze my body and grabbed my heart. Their words filled me with fear that one day their fate could be my own. I drive/text/talk on the phone constantly, without thinking. What’s worse, this means I drive without thinking!
