The Healing Power of Onions

Onions have so many wonderful benefits that have been used thru the ages. Did you know that sleeping with sliced raw onions can help bring down a fever? If that does not do the trick, take the sliced onions and rub them on the soles of your feet or better yet, wrap the onions to the soles of your feet with a plastic wrap and sleep with them thru the night. Sound funny but it has worked for many people. Also, chomping on raw onions can also aid in getting rid of a cold.  Did you know that  leaving  an unpeeled onion in every room  will help draw in the flu virus?

If you suffer from insomnia,  try sniffing sliced onions before going to bed. You just might end up with a good nights sleep. Earaches can also find relief from an onion. Squeeze the juices from an onion with a press and warm the juice. Place a few drops inside the ear. After a few minutes the earache should go away. The powereful antibiotic allicin is found in onions. It has tremendous healing powers and with so many people returning to natural medicines, this is an easy solution. These home remedies that our parents and grandparents used are being reintroduced.  So many of us are adopting a new lifestyle and natural medicines are becoming more popular. Share some of your favorite home remedies with us.
