Why Do I Clean Out My Closet So Often?

One of the previous articles submitted inspired me to step into my closet once again and clear out some of the items that I have in there that have not seen the light of day. What a waste! Even though I’ll donate all that I clear out to a neighborhood charity, I had to sit and ponder why. Why did I buy these items in the first place?

Learn to Love Yourself

So often we think only derogatory thoughts about ourselves. We’re too fat. Too old. Have too much cellulite. You know the rap. We become a society of self deprecating women. Who needs enemies when we hate ourselves to much? Well I say enough is enough!
We need to gather together as women and stop this madness. We need to talk about building body and self confidence and how to inspire our young proteges to do the same. Here are some steps to take in how to renounce self hate for good.

I don’t pretend to have a clue as to why such tragic devastation occurs in this world. I do however know that it has absolutely nothing to do with the Haitian people making a pact with the devil two centuries ago and hence receiving some atrocious karmic debt in return. I also know that you never know what the day is going to bring, and some of the lessons we should be reminded of during this time of excruciating pain should be re-examined.

Live in the moment is one that comes to mind. Does it really matter to dwell on matters of the past? Things that have been done can’t be changed. We can only learn from our mistakes. Don’t spend so much time chasing the future, it will be here soon enough, and quickly become the past. Take one day at a time and relish every second of it, even if it isn’t that great of a day. A bad day is better than no day at all.

Often while reading magazines, I’m drawn to those articles about the pursuit of happiness. Some of their suggestions seem so simple- just think happy! But life ‘happens’ and some things throughout our days just bring us down….
