Why Do I Clean Out My Closet So Often?

One of the previous articles submitted inspired me to step into my closet once again and clear out some of the items that I have in there that have not seen the light of day. What a waste! Even though I’ll donate all that I clear out to a neighborhood charity, I had to sit and ponder why. Why did I buy these items in the first place?

Turning Self Doubt Into Self Achievement

Many of us suffer from those pangs of self doubt. You know the ones that cripples us from taking a chance or making a move. We freeze, we question, we feel alone and at times foolish. Well, if you’ve felt that way you’re not alone. Each of us has suffered from this but there are others who live in a constant state of self doubt, never allowing themselves to grow and move on. I’ve found some simple pointers to try to put your self doubt in check before it becomes all of who you are.

A Beacon of Light & Hope

This week our country mourned and celebrated the life of Eunice Kennedy Shriver (1921-2009). She became a beacon of light and hope for the physically and mentally challenged, she founded the Special Olympics in the 60’s. Eunice Shriver also want to empower women, telling them “we don’t have to chose” and “we don’t have to be tamed or contained”.

I know, I know….Mother’s Day is celebrated the second Sunday in May. It’s printed in my calendars and I’ve seen the rows and rows of cards and flowers that now decorate the stores. I get it…but for me, Mother’s Day is everyday.
