Why Do I Clean Out My Closet So Often?

One of the previous articles submitted inspired me to step into my closet once again and clear out some of the items that I have in there that have not seen the light of day. What a waste! Even though I’ll donate all that I clear out to a neighborhood charity, I had to sit and ponder why. Why did I buy these items in the first place?

So often we think only derogatory thoughts about ourselves. We’re too fat. Too old. Have too much cellulite. You know the rap. We become a society of self deprecating women. Who needs enemies when we hate ourselves to much? Well I say enough is enough!
We need to gather together as women and stop this madness. We need to talk about building body and self confidence and how to inspire our young proteges to do the same. Here are some steps to take in how to renounce self hate for good.

I often wonder what drives women my age to dress and act as they once did, perhaps 15-20 years ago. When they look in the mirror, is that the age they want to see? Is it because that is their definition of beautiful and at this stage, they find themselves less so. Do they prefer the ‘then’ rather than the ‘now’?

I’m livid! Self magazine has admit-tingly air brushed its cover photo of Kelly Clarkson this month. I’m not naive to think that this is the only magazine to do so. Many are equally as guilty in doing so but this issue, this month was highlighting Self Confidence and that which Ms. Clarkson exudes.
